sorry i am so late in this- and its bad because i have soo much to say about Florence- (i went there this weekend) but ill wait til those pictures are on my computer to talk about it.  so i left off last sunday   tuesday was my first day of work! it was so fun and i got a lot of homework done! i work in the library here just for 4 hours a week then they pay you in cash. pretty easy spending money. then the excitement wednesday was our first calcio game- calcio the italian word for soccer or "football" and here at jfrc everyone who's anyone plays on 1 of 10 teams and we play a different team each week- my team is team rosso- red! the director Todd Waller (dad you met him) plays on my team- he's so competitive  and then another 12 students of varying ability- im obviously the MVP (not) but they did let me play long enough to get kicked around a little bit! it was fun.  then afterwards you can go to this place and get a big pizza and massive beer for a discounted price- we had lots of fun there.  i was tired tho at class the next day- it was my Art in Rome on-site class and we went to the Pantheon and that weird white building you and i wondered what it was dad- do you remember? well it has the Ara Pacis altar in it which was this marble very ornamental building used for sacrificing rituals during Augustus' ruling i think- im realizing i need to study for that class harder- it's so much information to remember.  but then friday we had make-up classes for the day we went to the papal audience and then packed and relaxed because we left for florence around 430 in the morning so we could catch the 630 train out of rome and still have a full day of sightseeing- and we definitely did!

it was such a great weekend- we went to pisa this morning and saw the leaning tower before returning to rome 

i should go study though ill add florence stuff soon
